About me

A resident of Mandeville Quebec. He completed his first work – a wood bowl – at the age of twelve, already showing interest in woodturning. As an adult, after studied in electronics, he worked as a soundeffects man for the national radio station, which also became a means for him to express his artistic learnings. In the late 1970’s, he found an old Rockwell lathe, and began his apprenticeship as a woodturner.

His interest grew during a seminar in Putney, Vermont with Russ Zimmerman. A subsequent trip to England allowed him to visit other workshops and exchange ideas with other woodturners. Woodturning went from a self-taught pastime to a passion. Woodturning has become his fulltime occupation and he is also giving woodturning courses. He takes great pleasure walking in the woods and discovering fallen trees, which he can transform into works of art.
